Terrifying

The (landline) phone bill has a charge of over £45 for my call to Catherine’s Austrian mobile a few weeks ago! Something gone wrong there, I hope: I had called the Just Dial number for calling mobiles, so it should have been 15p/min. Instead it seems to have charged over £1.10/min. Possibly complicated by the fact that our telephone provider is a company called Euphony, and perhaps they don’t like people using these international dialling things. I really hope dad can sort it, but I have offered to pay up if he can’t. :S

The week just gone was quite busy, though my first piano lesson was cancelled. Rescheduled for Tuesday this week; I’m looking forward to it. Wednesday was my first Cavendish Singers rehearsal—a good standard (though only 2 altos there) and quite enjoyable. On Thursday I went to a concert at the QEH by the Takács Quartet. Friday’s rehearsal with Georgina was 2 hours long, as her clarinet teacher was there and was being (justifiably) fussy. Then on Saturday I went with my family to see aunt & uncle, so I was away most of the weekend as well. I like being busy, though. :-)

It was a bit of a slow week at work, but I’ve been promised a bigger and more complicated program to do this week. Can I be disciplined enough to set up the test pack first? Perhaps… time for bed now, anyway.

  1. Phone companies are evil! I remember Paul was got a £500 phone bill from Orange, his Mum and Dad were not very happy! The guy in the store told him he could have free internet access on his phone for a month so we used in loads but it turns out there are 2 different kinds of internet and we weren’t using the free one! Stupid Orange …
