No Reason

I bought the M-Audio 1814 on Wednesday. Had a bit of a play with it that evening, but was a bit puzzled by the lack of driver CD in the box. Wasn’t a problem—I just downloaded the drivers and manual—but odd all the same. No CD with Reason Adapted (cut-down version of Reason) on it, either. Went to Turnkey again today: seems Reason Adapted isn’t bundled any more, and they were as puzzled as I was about the lack of driver disc. Never mind. Need to spend a good while longer playing with Live. I think I like it; if that continues to be the case I’ll probably pay for the upgrade to the full version.

Dad bought DVD of Team America: World Police the other day, and we watched it this evening. I found it extremely funny to begin with, but the novelty tailed off a bit as they tried to get on with the story. Still very good for most of the rest. I had heard the sex scene was well worth seeing, and was not disappointed. ;)

Work: the last program—a subroutine—didn’t take long at all, and compiled just fine, but then I had to adjust and recompile the program which was to call it, and I had to fight the system to get it to link-edit. Such fun. Still, I’ve also finished the “optional extra” programs, so not sure what I’ll be doing tomorrow, when I’m back in the office. Something about “reviewing the material covered so far” was mentioned, but that doesn’t sound too exciting. As for next week, I’ve no idea what’s in store.
